These drugs can be administered through various routes, including oral pills, intramuscular or subcutaneous injections, intravenous injections, injections into the spinal cord, topical application on the skin, and direct injection into body cavities (such as the bladder). Once the drugs enter the body, they effectively destroy cancer cells. Chemotherapy is particularly suitable for cases where primary tumor cells have spread to lymph nodes or other organs.
